What to Expect
ON YOUR FIRST VISIT
Getting started at Spruce Chiropractic is simple and streamline, however, we want to make sure you are informed and prepared. These steps explain just what to expect at your first couple of visits. If you have any questions, please reach out to us.
1
Complete New Patient Forms
Prior to your first appointment, we encourage you to complete the new patient forms. Our booking page will prompt you to complete these forms online. They can also be completed in the office prior to your scheduled appointment time (please be sure to allow yourself 15-20 minutes). The information you provide on these forms offer insight into your health history so that the doctor can prepare and customize a plan to specifically meet your needs.
2
Initial Consultation
During this time we will discuss your health history, what brings you into the office, and your health goals. We will also answer any questions you may have.
3
Initial Examination
Once we complete your initial consultation, we will perform a physical exam to asses your muscles, spine, and nervous system. We utilize advanced technology to obtain a detailed overview of how well your nervous system is functioning.
4
Digital Imaging
If the doctor determines that you require more detailed diagnostic imaging, we will take a series of chiropractic spinal x-rays. This additional imaging will help the doctor to provide you with the most specific care possible.
5
Creating an Individualized Care Plan
As we wrap up your initial appointment, we’ll help you schedule a follow-up visit. At this next visit, the doctor will review your initial health assessments and provide you with a customized corrective care plan. Your specific plan will be tailored to meet your individual needs, aiming to improve overall wellness. We will also be discussing financial options at this visit.
Every individual case is different, but in typical cases, your first chiropractic adjustment is performed on the second visit, after the doctor has thoroughly evaluated all of the diagnostic studies. Pregnant and pediatric patients are often adjusted on the first day.
You can typically plan on your initial appointment lasting 45 minutes.
